Portland part 4

October 24th, 2012

So I normally don’t write about  my personal life but I took some neat pictures this weekend and I wanted to share it.

We’ve been to Oregon before and we usually drive, except this time we flew. Luckily Daniel’s cousins were in town this weekend as well (they travel tons) and we were all able to hang out and explore a true Portland life, something we’ve never done before because we would usually fall into a food coma after every meal. If anything, we are going back before the year ends. Oregon is love.

Over Washington.

Tin Shed: This was the mac and cheese of the day. I have no idea what it’s called but it was very unique in flavor. There was cinnamon in it. And the slices of bread to the right of the bowl, were fucking phenomenal.

I have never been in a co-op grocery store before. I purchased some marzipan and oat soap bar and possibly some of the best hot sauces I have ever come across.

Alberta.

On every trip, I have dreams to eat at the Screen Door. We finally got a chance and it was well worth the wait. We ordered everything and ate so much. You can’t go wrong there.

Couch.

The hotel we stay at is one of the three best hotels I have ever been to (one of them being outside of the US). The valet guys never forget who you are and it is steps away from everything.

We also went here, here and here. Oh also, here and here. As well as a few shows and bars.

Midterms in the morning.

Sorry for such a late response Cindy. You really have to explore Portland one day. It’s truly amaze-balls!! If you do, let me know and I will give you some suggestions for your itinerary.
